Unix Commands
Welcome to my Unix command pages. I am going to try
to store all the useful Unix (specifically Mac OS X centric) information
that I find, both to reinforce it for myself, and to share it with you.
For instance, there are now dozens of great web pages and web based
tutorials devoted to Mac OS X, and Unix. They range from learning the
command line to installing and configuring Apache, MYSQL and PHP on any
Macintosh running Apple's OS X operating system. All of this info is
great, but it can get overwhelming.
As an old-skool Mac guy, and now a Mac OS X user, I am enjoying
all there is to learn about Unix, it makes the Macintosh a brand new
experience for me (again!). However, I find the Unix community a bit less
tolerant of the hand holding OS X needs. So this will hopefully grow into
something useful.
